Amberdale will provide funding and support for the following programmes, which will be administered by Wyse Active.
Wyse Active
Talent Development Programme
The Wyse Active Talent Development Programme seeks to support and empower local talent to excel on the international front and to inspire future generations of players. Each year, over 55 players across the different age categories will be awarded the Wyse Active Talent Development Sponsorship to support them in their quest for excellence.
The sponsorship covers badminton training by Wyse Active’s academy partner Y Badminton; invitations to local and international competitions which will expose our players to top age-group badminton talents from across the region; strength and conditioning training for athletes, badminton kits; and other badminton-related expenses.
Dare to Dream
@ Jurong
Dare to Dream @ Jurong is a badminton talent development programme that seeks to identify up to 25 sports talents (P1 and 2 students) from low-income families and provide them with the necessary support and resources to develop them to their fullest potential. Schools will nominate students who show potential and they will go through a trial. Selected students will be offered a sponsorship which covers structured training by professional coaches, access to court facilities and training equipment (rackets, shoes, attire) and free registration for local league competitions.
